Fran Grossi - Who is She?

Fran Grossi for North Lake County Hospital District Board of TrusteesFran is running for one of the two open vacancies on the North Lake County Hospital District Board of Trustees (Northwest District).  Here is her story:

Born and raised in New York, I moved to Illinois when I married. I worked as a programmer analyst for two corporations, Purdue Frederick Pharmaceuticals and the Unisys Corporation, and also for Elgin Community College. Eight years ago, when I retired from my career, I settled in Leesburg.

I have always exercised my right to vote and listened to the news to stay informed. But it was the events of 9/11 that opened my eyes and set me on a quest for knowledge about our government. One of the things I have learned is that ‘all politics is local’.

Although I have never held an office before, I believe it’s paramount that citizens hold everyone in government accountable, no matter what office they hold. I am tired of handing over my hard earned money, only to find it is wasted on some unnecessary project or used to increase the already excessive salaries or benefits of those in charge. You see, I am a concerned citizen – just like YOU!

After much consideration, I have decided to run for the North Lake County Hospital District Board of Trustees. If you will honor me with your vote, I vow to do my best to assure accountability for the Citizens of the North Lake County Hospital District.
